Project Overview
From Our Abuelas was a collaborative editorial initiative across multiple Hearst brands—including Good Housekeeping, Delish, Elle Decor, and Esquire—celebrating the flavors, traditions, and stories passed down through generations of Latinx families. The package featured recipes, essays, and videos honoring the matriarchs who inspire us, connecting audiences through culture and shared memory. Through thoughtful design, illustration, and photography, the project brought warmth and authenticity to every touchpoint.
ROLE
I led the art direction for the entire project, collaborating with product designers, engineers, and developers to bring the vision to life. I developed the look and feel for digital and social assets, commissioning a Latinx illustrator to create a scalable media kit used on the interactive landing page. That system became the foundation for style guides distributed across brands, ensuring visual consistency and cultural authenticity throughout the collaboration.
